Samuel Parra better known as "Samo" (born Veracruz), participated in 1995 in the successful Festival Valores Juveniles
Pablo Hurtado (born San Luis Potosi) began his career at age 5. He studied Music Production and Audio Engineering at the Academy of Music Fermatta.
The band was formed in 2006 in the state of Coahuila.Camila born with the aim of bringing his message of love to all audiences, not limited by fashion or determined by the market demands.
According to the group, the name came from a friend's idea of calling the group "Camila" because it means "close to God". Their first single, "Abrázame" became a major airplay success upon its release. Samo participated in 1995 in the successful Youth Festival Securities, he worked with some artists likeYuri, Alan, María del Sol, Cristian Castro, León and Reyli.
The first group's success was the song collection of songs that played as the opening of the Mexican telenovela Two Sides of Ana de Televisa in 2006. In that year, the band was nominated for Premios Lo Nuestro best new band. Camila got two nominations at the MTV Latin America Awards 2007, for Best New Artist categories.
Were winners in 2 categories for the Latin Billboard Awards in 2008 in the categories of pop album of the year duo or group, theme duet pop airplay or grup of the year.
The band had great success in Mexico, the United States and Latin America.
Everything changed their album continued to occupy the top sales for months in several countries. In February 2010, they released their second album, entitled "You Love". With this album, Camila got 4 nominations for the Grammy Latino 2010, which won 3 of this 4 nominations.
